I CANT BELIEVE IT!!!!!!!!
THIS IS THE FINAL CLASS FOR THIS SUBJECT..

I FEEL THAT THE TIME GOES BY SO FAST THAT MAKES ME NOT REALIZE ABOUT IT...

I HAVE GONE THROUGH THIS COURSE FOR 14 WEEKS AND I HAD GAINED A LOT OF VALUABLE KNOWLEDGE THAT SURELY CAN HELP ME TO BECOME A GOOD TEACHER IN THE FUTURE....

THROUGH THIS COURSE, I HAD IMPROVE MY KNOWLEDGE ABOUT THE TECHNOLOGY AND LEARN HOW TO USE THEM TO IMPROVE THE TEACHING AND LEARNING SESSION IN THE CLASSROOM.

I WANT TO THANKS MDM FOZIAH FOR HER GUIDANCE AND SUPPORT THROUGHOUT THIS SEMESTER. YOU HAD TEACH ME A LOT ABOUT THE TECHNOLOGY...THANK YOU SOO MUCH..

WEEK 13

THIS WEEK, WE NEED TO SUBMIT THE 4TH ASSIGNMENT WHICH IS THE LESSON PLAN..

THIS ASSIGNMENT WAS DONE IN GROUP BUT WE HAD OUR OWN PART TO DO..FOR ME, I HAD TO DO THE LESSON PLAN ON THE LISTENING SKILL.. I HAD TO CREATE TWO LESSON PLAN, 30 MINUTES FOR EACH LESSON PLAN TO TEACH THE SKILL.

NOT ONLY THAT, THE LESSON PLAN SHOULD INCORPORATE THE USAGE OF TECHNOLOGY TO ENHANCE THE TEACHING AND LEARNING IN THE CLASSROOM.

THIS WAS QUITE CHALLENGING FOR ME BECAUSE I NEED TO CONSIDER A LOT OF THINGS TO CREATE THE LESSON PLAN. FINALLY, I MANAGED TO COMPLETE THE ASSIGNMENT AFTER A LOT OF HARD WORK. I HOPE THAT I WILL GET GOOD GRADE FOR THIS ASSIGNMENT.

THIS ASSIGNMENT TEACH ME ON HOW TO DEVELOP THE LESSON PLAN TO TEACH THE STUDENTS. THIS EXPERIENCE IS REALLY IMPORTANT FOR ME TO PREPARE ME TO BE A GOOD TEACHER IN THE FUTURE. BESIDES THAT, I ALSO LEARN ABOUT THE IMPORTANCE OF TECHNOLOGY IN TEACHING AND LEARNING PROCESS. SO, I DETERMINE TO USE ALL THE TECHNOLOGY THAT IS AVAILABLE IN THE CLASSROOM FOR THE BENEFITS OF MY STUDENTS.

WEEK 12

This week we are required to work on our teaching aids. We managed to gather or make several meetings in order to finish up this assignment.

In the process of making the teaching aids, I found out that there are so many things that teacher can use to make the classroom more interesting and attractive so that pupils will be more interested to learn. As example, video should be one of the main tools to replace text book as it provides more real things to show to the pupils.

We worked so hard in making this assignment the best. Thus, we hope that the marks given will be based on our effort and the quality of teaching aids that we have produced.

WEEK 11

this week, the two classes were combined together as mdm Foziah had something to do on the tuesday. this is the first time the whole cohort got together in this class and the atmosphere and condition in the class was quite hectic and happening. but, mdm Foziah managed to control the class very well.

Actually, on that day, there were no class. Madam Foziah had asked

the groups who did not finish yet their presentation before 'Raya'

holiday to continue their presentation. There were about 4 groups who did not present yet. So, on that day, my friends and I had listened on the presentation. For me, I think, my friends and I had learned something new on that day based on the presentation that we can apply in our teaching profession in the future as it can improve and enhance ourselves to become a good and great teacher.

WEEK 10

On Thursday, 17th September 2009, I've got another class of PBEY 3102, Using and Developing Resources for the ESL Classroom. It was the last week before 'Raya' holiday. So, most of my friends did not come to class as they had went back to their hometown. So, Madam Foziah had told us that she will deduct 5 marks for everyone who did not attend her class on that day without any reasonable excuses.

On that day, Madam Foziah had asked us to present our work that she had been given on the previous week. There were 6 groups that had been presented on that day.

As a conclusion, based on the presentation, my friends and I had learned something new that we can apply when we become a real teacher in the future. For example, we had learned on how to work together to do something (the presentation). Besides that, we also had learned some new topics that relate to teaching profession (based on the presentation) as it can help us to improve and develop ourselves to become a good and great teacher in the future.

WEEK 9

This week we are required to hand in our assignments (the three folios) and compile it all together. It took us about one hour to finalising this assignments as we had to compile our work together with our member in the group.
Later on. Pn. Foziah gave us another two tasks which were the presentation of the other chapter in the book and we also had to do a summary on a research or article provided by her. We were supposed to send the first presentation to her email which my group had done it right before the class ended. we discussed the book together and tried to understand the gists of it. i can say that the chapter in the book is about the development of the children in acquiring the knowledge. we can use the input from the book to be used in the classroom in the future.
That's all I can talk about this week's class as we were more into discussions in our own group to complete the two tasks given by Pn Foziah.

WEEK 8

WITHOUT WE REALIZE OR NOT, WE ALREADY HALF-WAY THROUGH THIS SEMESTER..

FOR THE PAST 7 WEEKS, I HAD GAINED A LOT OF KNOWLEDGE AND LEARNED NEW SKILLS FROM THIS SUBJECT..

THIS SUBJECT REALL TAUGHT ME TO BE A COMPETENT USER OF THE TECHNOLOGY AND HOPEFULLY I CAN APPLY ALL OF THESE WHEN I'M TEACHING IN FUTURE...

FOR THIS WEEK, MDM FOZIAH ASKED US TO SUBMIT THE TUTORIAL TASKS THAT SHE ASKED US TO DO...

WE NEED TO SUBMIT THE SOFT AND HARD COPY OF THE E-BOOK, PHOTO EDITING AND ALSO AUDIO EDITING...

BY DOING THIS TASK, I STARTED TO UNDERSTAND BETTER ABOUT ALL THESE SKILLS AND IT WAS ALSO A GOOD PRACTISE FOR ME TO USE ALL THE SOFTWARES...

AFTER THAT, MDM FOZIAH ASKED US TO SIT IN OUR GROUP AND DISCUSS THE TOPIC IN THE TEXTBOOK...

SHE ALSO REMINDED US TO READ ALL THE TOPIC AS THEY WILL COME OUT IN THE EXAM...

SO I GUESS I REALLY NEED TO START PREPARING FROM NOW FOR THE EXAM BECAUSE THERE ARE QUITE A LOT THAT I NEED TO READ FROM THE BOOK...

AND I REALLY HOPE THAT I CAN DO MY BEST IN THE EXAM AND GET GOOD GRADE FOR THIS SUBJECT..

WEEK 7 - AUDIO EDITING

ITS BEEN A WHILE SINCE THE LAST TIME I UPDATE MY BLOG..

MY LIFE IS QUITE HECTIC NOW WITH LOTS OF ASSIGNMENTS AND TASKS TO BE COMPLETED...

BUT I GUESS AS A STUDENT THAT IS THE CHALLENGE THAT I NEED TO FACE....

SO, THIS WEEK MDM FOZIAH WAS INTRODUCING THE NEW SKILL TO US..

SHE TAUGHT US ON HOW TO EDIT THE AUDIO...

THERE ARE A LOT OF SOFTWARES THAT WE CAN DONWLOAD FROM THE INTERNET TO DO AUDIO EDITING SUCH AS AUDACITY AND EXPAUDIO EDITOR...

I FOUND OUT THAT IT WAS QUITE DIFFICULT TO EDIT THE AUDIO AS IT REQUIRES SKILLS TO DO SO..

FOR THE BEGINNER LIKE ME, WE WERE HAVING QUITE A DIFFICULT TIME TO EXPLORE AND FAMILIARIZE OURSELF TO DO THE AUDIO EDITING...

BUT AS I EXPLORED THE SOFTWARE, I FOUND OUT THAT IT WAS VERY INTERESTING BECAUSE WE CAN DO ANYTHING SUCH AS MODIFY, EDIT AND CUT THE AUDIO TO MAKE IT CLEARER..

MOREOVER, WE ALSO CAN ADD EFFECT TO THE AUDIO TO MAKE IT MORE INTERESTING...

AND I THINK THAT WAS SO AWESOME....

BEFORE THIS, I NEVER KNOW THAT WE CAN DO ALL THESE THINGS...

I NEVER HEARD THIS TERM BEFORE...

SO I SEARCH ITS MEANING IN WIKIPEDIA..

THIS WEEK, MDM FOZIAH EXPOSE US ON HOW TO DO THE E-BOOK...

I FOUND OUT THAT THEY WERE REALLY INTERESTING AND ATTRACTIVE...

SO, I THINK THAT E-BOOK REALLY APPROPRIATE TO BE USED FOR THE CHILDREN...

INSTEAD OF READING THE BOOK, WE CAN USE THE E-BOOK TO MAKE THE STORY MORE INTERESTING AND APPEALING TO THE CHILDREN...

WE CAN PUT ANIMATION, SOUND, MOVEMENT AND MANY MORE THAT SURELY CAN ATTRACT CHILDREN' ATTENTION....

MDM FOZIAH ASKED US TO CREATE OUR OWN E-BOOK....

I THINK THAT THIS IS A REALLY GOOD EXERCISE FOR US BECAUSE WE CAN USE THE E-BOOK WHEN WE OUT TO SCHOOL LATER...

WEEK 5....PHOTO EDITING????

This week, Mdm. Foziah taught us new skill in using the technology...

PHOTO EDITING!!!!!!!!

Honestly, i never edit any photo before because i dont know how to do it...

So, im really eager to learn this skill...

Mdm. Foziah showed us example of photos that had been edited....

All the photos were so great and im really amazed to see them...

There are so many that can be done to make the photo more attractive and beautiful...

We can adjust the color and tone, crop something that we dont want in the photo, we can remove red-eye, resize the photo and the list go on...

Interesting isn't it????

After that, Mdm. Foziah asked us to edit any photo using the adobe photoshop...

At first it was quite difficult for me because I never do it before....

but after a while it was getting better and I started to feel happy and enjoy doing it...

I know that there are still many things that I need to explore and learn in order to master this skill...

I think that all from me for this week...

I want to edit my photo so that I can be much brighter and muscular hahaha...

WEEK 4......

I entered the class this week with hope to learn new skills and knowledge about the technology..

but i was so dissapointed when the internet access could not be used and we were so blur on what to do because we cannot do anything without the internet access....

luckily Mdm. Foziah had the back up plan. She asked us to form groups and discuss topics 2, 3 and 4 in the book...

So, for this week we only read and discuss the topic in that book....

From this experience, i realize that we cannot fully depend on the technology....

Technology seems to be so "fragile" and can be broken and dysfunction at any time...

So, we need to have the back up plan in case this thing happen....

like Mdm. Foziah, eventhough she planned to do the activity for this week using the internet, but she also had the back up plan which is to read and discuss the topics in the book....

For me, as a teacher this is so important to ensure that the teaching and learning process can be carried out, despite anything that happen in the classroom.

Technology is just a tool to help teacher during the teaching and learning process, but the most important thing is the teacher who are going to deliver the knowledge to the pupils.

Hopefully, for the next class the internet access can be used and i will get the opportunity to learn many new skills and knowldge about the teachnology....

WEEK 3.......

This week mdm. Foziah told us to download Michael Jackson's last song before he died.

She asked us to search for the song and then download it. She also instructed us to document all the steps to download the song using the microsoft word and also microsoft powerpoint. For me, this is not so difficult because I already had an experience to download song before. But, before this I am not really think about all the steps to download the file. After doing this task, I started to realize that this simple activity also required a lot of skills such as searching the song and also selecting the best software to download the song. Even though this activity might look simple, but I have learnt a lot and I had improve my skills on using the computer to download file. I cant wait for the next class to learn new knowledge and improve my skills. Till then, see you..bye

SECOND WEEK....

what we were doing for the second class???

firstly, mdm foziah asked us to fill in form to assess how much knowledge about using the technology that we have...

so after fill in the form, i realized that i knew so so little about using the technlogy...

but mdm foziah said that it's ok because we can learn all the skills and knowledge through the course...

so i determine and promise to myself to focus and pay attention in the class so that i can learn all the skills and finally at the end of 14-weeks, i can improve myself and be the "competent-user" of the technology....

after that, mdm foziah asked us to form groups for the assignment...

yeeaayyyy i love assignment (really????)

for this assignment, we need to use a lot of skills such as video editing and photo editing and compile all the works in a folio...

im so eager to do the assignment because all these skills are new to me and im really want to learn them...

i hope that i can do well for the assignment...

as this is my first post..

so i dont really know what to write here...

i just want to let you know that i am not really into this technology stuffs...

i can call myself as "illiterate" in this area...

but i do realise about the needs to master the technology especially as a future teacher that is going to teach the 21st century children...

the children have been exposed to the technology since they born...

so i need to equipe myself with all the skills to teach all these kids...

i also aware that the technology can help the teacher in their teaching...

so for this course, i hope that i can learn many new skills on how to use the technology in order to enhance the teaching and learning session in the classroom....

and hopefully can help me to be a better teacher in the future...
